Hot off the press in March: Agentforce is free for Start and Pro Suite customers. This is the SMB go-to-market move. It collapses the price-to-try barrier and changes the math on whether a small business should bother with AI at all.

Marc Benioff's "AI companies are our largest customers" pitch

The companies building the AI that's supposed to kill software are some of Salesforce's largest customers. Benioff's framing on the AI economy reset the narrative:

"The AI companies love our products and they can't buy enough of them. They're some of our largest customers."

The investor-relations implication is obvious. The product-strategy implication is more interesting: Salesforce is positioning the data layer as the moat, not the application layer.
